The Greek gods and goddesses of the myths were once the most
powerful beings around. They ruled over all and were feared and
respected. People believed in them.
Years passed and people stopped believing. The gods began to
neglect the people. Unaware of it, Gaia and the Fates decided to
teach them a lesson; the gods could not effectively reign without
knowing what mortality really was. And so a prophecy was born and
the gods were forced to experience metempsychosis.
